ready, set.....

today is the big day that lots of us have been so anxiously waiting for!!! it's cast on day for the biggest sskal yet! (truthfully it sorta snuck up on me, but haha that's another story).

i know a lot of you have had your yarn already wound for a while now, and swatches have been done. i can just imagine the blurr of the needles right now as everyone casts on with ridiculous excitment! haha. and some of you have plans for 3 sweaters! hurrah!!!

want to know what i'm going to be working on??? (probably time i spilled the beans... lol) i'm planning on finishing one wip. and casting on a new sweater...
my wip is my robin.. i'm knitting with drops alpaca, and on 3.25mm needles... yeah, that's pretty tiny for a sweater!

the other sweater i'd love to knit is boxy!  in wollmeise!! i've never knit with wollmeise, and i'm pretty excited about it. i'll be using a 3.5mm i think for it. (although those needles are being used at the moment... so i'll have to finish up that project too!lol).

these are some pretty lofty goals i know.. but i'm in fantastic company! the ravelry thread has been a buzz since the kal was first announced (even before!) ... and i know that i'm not the only one with these projects on the needles :)

are you still a little stuck in what to decide? check out the pinterest board! so full of inspiration (if the ravelry thread hasn't made your queue explode already). ha.

want to join in? all are most certainly welcome, and it's such a fun community!! you can find all of the info here. and here's a bonus... there's a giveaway on the luvinthemommyhood blog today too! make sure you enter for the giveaway, and don't forget to sign up for the kal!! xo

so tell me, are your goals as lofty as mine?  have you cast on? are your needles a blurr of yarn and expectations of yummy sweaters?? what are you working on? oxox

  3. I can't wait to see your Boxy! I am waiting for the colorway I want to come back in stock so I can buy it and knit it too. :) I have three or four sweaters planned and a couple WIPs that might or might not get done. I don't anticipate I'll get ALL of them done, but at least started!

  6. Arghhh ... what to knit? Hmmm, I shouldn't really say "argghhh" as choosing what to knit is actually a fun thing to think about! : )
