selfish knitting... in the form of a KAL.

being a part of 2 kals, can make for a bit of slower knitting. also when i've got "work knitting" on my plate, as well as another test knit. :) ... (in the form of a sweater in tiny yarn and tiny needles... *facepalm*... it will totally be worth it though).

and i think it's important to remember that shawls are supposed to take a bit of time. we have to actually enjoy the process of knitting them, right? after all, it is "pour moi" :) xo
so without further ado, here's my pendulum so far :)

i am really really happy with how it's knitting up! i'm finding that it's one of those knits that is pretty easy to put down and pick up whenever. love those patterns. it makes for very portable knitting.

i like that i have a colour change to look forward to, and the short rows keeps things interesting throughout the knit.  my plan is to just knit until i run out of yarn. let's hope it works :) i'm loving these colours together. very west coast to me.

are you a part of the "pour moi" kal? how is your knit coming along? i'd love to know what you're working on! you can join the knit along here. everyone is doing such a fantastic job! i'm loving seeing all of the progress! xoxo

  1. I'm not participating in the cal because I'm still working on the still light tunic - 12" of stockinette stitch. Ugh! I'd love to start a new project, something interesting and fun to knit, but I'm forcing myself to finish the tunic first otherwise it will be fall and it's still not finished.

I love the colors you chose for your shawl! :)

  3. I so enjoy your color combinations! This shawl makes a statement- so dramatic. You're making good progress too, considering all that's going on. I am almost finished with my selfish knit but have so much going on this weekend (senior prom and a beach trip) I doubt I'll finish before the weekend's over.

    1. thanks so much for the confidence boost with colour! i have been having fun with it :) i honestly wish there was a secret knitting "time" on the clock that actually froze time and we never got tired ... is that strange? hahah but it's important to enjoy the knit too. i hope you have a great weekend and hopefully get a little bit of knitting time in. we are going camping! so today is a bit of a mad rush to pack and not to forget any knitting. lol! xo
