super-speed knitting

oh goodness it was a late night last night :) i bet you can guess what i've been up to though... ahaha yes, yes i was crafting away... and now i have to do even more knitting!!

my sweet sister and her hubby welcomed their little boy into the world late last night, ontario time. this is their first baby... and i am more than excited for them!

and so of course, serious knitting must be underway now... super-speed, actually.... and i'm hoping we can plan a family visit to ontario. sigh, let's hope for a very successful craft show, shall we? ;)

it's a rainy day here, and i've got some plans to spend the day with my little man. he's been so patient with all of the yarn strewn about the place... mommy's ridiculious need to be hooked up to a coffee cup, all. the. time, and i owe him... big time.

a little pic of my reality for you :)

so tell me, what are you up to on this soggy day? what are your absolute favourite baby gift patterns to go to? does your kitchen table look like mine? i've just brewed another pot of coffee. (no i'm not joking). come chat! xo

  1. Congratulations Aunt Rebecca to your sister! She is lucky to have such a great mom as a sister to learn from and share experiences with.

I didn't have a late night but I've had a couple super duper early mornings due to Ellie's sickness...she's better now but as a result of those extra hours I'm halfway through Mockinjay and I finished the body of my raglan pullover. GOtta power through the sleeves now...

A nice surprise for me is that Downton Abbey is available for me at the library. I put it on hold in November and totally forgot about it, now I'm ready to get my PBS on! har har.

*clinks bottomless coffee mug* cheers, darling.

  4. What wonderful news!!! Ahh, baby knitting ... there really is something so special about knitting little booties and cardis and blankets. Oh, what fun you'll have. With all this knitting, your poor little man will definitely need some special knitted toys so don't forget to add that to your list of WIPs.
