daisy-do

it's raining cats and dogs here today, but all i see are daisies!

there's really nothing like a little bit of spring to inspire an awesome craft session... no?

i have lots of crafting plans for the weekend. the hubs is home for the weekend again! and i think he'll take our little man out for a movie date so more of this can happen :)

it's a big cleaning day for us here... i figure i might as well make use of this rainy day ;) but i'm feeling energized and more than ready to tackle it. i think it's a good feeling to start the weekend on :) also, i had so much fun with the 5k that i did last weekend, i've been convinced to train for a 10k. (yikes). but i'm determined. and the dutch in me will hopefully not let me give up. :)

not only am i going to be best friends with my crochet hook this weekend, i've got those knitting needles out too! i'm going to be an auntie again soon, and my sister is hoping for some cute pixie hats for a photo shoot. very similar to these that i had made last summer...

so i'm a busy girl this weekend. and happily so, no matter how much it rains :)

what are you up to this weekend? any crafting? early spring cleaning? exciting outings? i'd love to hear about your plans! xo

  2. I feel the same way about yellow and purple wildflowers, which I saw popping up here and there on our morning walk...

Crochet flowers are everywhere in my house. We are moving but I think I'm going to make a crochet garland to celebrate spring and keep the place feeling homey while we pack our boxes.

Hope you have a great weekend. xo

  5. I wish I were motivated to clean my house but I'm totally not! The last two months I've been taking the older kids to a movie on Saturday's but that is over now (it's a school fundraiser, you buy a sheet of tickets for a nominal fee and then get to see soon-to-be released movies on DVD in the theater). So tomorrow we'll be at home all day. I have a few projects that I want to finish up...mainly a dress for me but also I need to finish up my camera bag.

I hope you get you crafting mojo on and get a ton of stuff made. Also, I'm gonna need that pattern for the daisies I have a feeling I'm going to make those for a baby on the way :)

    2. I loved all the movies we saw which was: Dolphin Tale, The Smurfs, Puss in Boots, Happy Feet 2, Arthur Christmas, Alvin & the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, The Adventures of Tin Tin, & Big Miracle. I think my favorite of them all was Arthur Christmas...but The Adventures of Tin Tin was like a kids version of the Bond Movies (you know, without the language and sex), but your boy is smaller than the youngest I took and really he was just barely old enough to watch it.

I am super busy...going out of town this weekend so trying to get a lot done to be ready.

  6. Success!! There's actually a comment box that I can write in! Just hope it doesn't get lost in space now...

Can't wait to see what you do with those lovely daisies!! And wow...a 10k?? You're hardcore! :)

I'll be cleaning house this weekend too. I think it's the only thing on the agenda. Aside from trying to get some stuff blocked. Have a great weekend! ♥
