so i looked at the calendar and realized that today marks 3 months until christmas. holy craptarts. are you ready for it? this of course means ... let the late night knitting fests begin!
actually it's been a crazy fest around these parts. the exciting thing is that we're getting new appliances! wahoo! (one of them quit on us, and then we just decided to upgrade them all... ) but it'll be a busy time until after it's all settled... so in the meantime, i'm trying to knit like crazy, and enjoy this lovely fall weather!
and plan christmas knits!
are you ready for it?? what are your holiday knitting plans? xo
I have nine Christmas present projects, total, in mind and three finished so far (two were really easy chunky cowls and one was a toque). I still have one shawl, two golf club covers, a pair of socks, a pair of mittens and two more toques to go! 2014 will be the year or selfish knitting, I hope :)
ReplyDeletewowza! but you are already well underway i'd say! that's awesome!! and indeed 2014 selfish knitting!! bring it. xo
Deleteholy craptarts! lolol :)
ReplyDeletehahah i'm not the original sayer of that though. i'm certain i've heard the line from miss melissa ;) xo
DeleteSo wish I were getting new appliances! When my boys started preschool I had the mad idea of giving handmade gifts to his teachers. They're going to be 7 and 9 next month and I still do it. I wish I still sewed but I love to knit so it takes a bit longer.
ReplyDeletei really do love the idea of teacher gifts. and especially this year as it's his first introduction to the education system... and he LOVES school and his teacher. xo i'll post pics of the new appliances when they are in! weee! xo
DeleteWell I'm making two kids sweaters (one already done), a holden shawlette, a chunky cabled scarf, two pairs of felted slippers, a baseball pillow (I think I will have to design), a pair of slippers, and sock monkey booties, and well I plan to make the kids I watch something, but i had thought I decided on what to make them and now I'm not sure.
ReplyDeletewowza! i'd say you'll be busy! bring on the coffee! can't wait to see them all ! you'll have to post a pic! xo
DeleteWell the abate kids sweater is actually up on my ravelry page already and well I'm the type to generally wait until November and then go in a mad frenzy trying to get it all done including my school work so that's when you should really be watching for pictures.
Deletehaha ok. you're on my radar! and i'm of to look at the sweater! xo
DeleteI'm sooo ready ... summer was a complete fail for me in terms of my knitting mojo but now that my absolutely favorite season has (finally) arrived, I'm not sure I have enough needle sets in my stash (and I have A LOT of needle sets). Bring on the coffee, indeed! : )
ReplyDeleteoh i can't wait to see everything you knit up! xo
