downton for routine

as i'm sure much of you are also having a hard time getting back into the routine of "life" in general... it feels weird to me that it's friday already. we're slowly getting there though.. into a routine i mean. i think. lol.

one thing that's helping with that is funnily enough, preparing for the next kal! it's a downton abbey knit along! hosted by none other than luvinthemommyhood. hurrah! i got my hubby to download the first 2 seasons of downton so i can rewatch them. (i'm funny that way). and i've been scoping patterns like crazy to figure out what i want to knit.

i have no idea. boooo.... i do know that i wish i had more of madelinetosh in my stash though. there aren't a lot of stores in my area who carries it. and ordering it online is okayyyy except because i'm in canada, there are always extra shipping costs and customs. meh.

but i've been trying to narrow down some patterns... i do love the cowls..but i realize that i have a lot... actually one just came in the mail for me the other day! hurrah! i haven't taken a pic of it yet, and i promise to very soon... ummashin sent me a lovely handknit arbutus! umm i wore it all day long yesterday. and i probably will again today :) i love it hannah! thank you so much!!! i'm about to head out the door to teach a private knitting lesson... but after that i'll take a pic... and put it on facebook for you, mkay?

as for the kal projects.. i really don't know! there are a lot of cute hats... er. cloche.. right? and i'm also half wondering socks. though those are more time consuming... gah. i just dunno... shannon made a lovely pinterest board on everything downton to help inspire us... it's awesome, and it throws so many more options into the list that i just don't know what i'll knit. hahaa... if only i can have unlimited supplies of amazing yarns hrmmm... haha. don't get me wrong, i do have some nice skeins of madtosh in my stash... i just need to find the right project... or go yarn shopping :)

  4. Oooo... I'm in I'm in I'm in. Of course, I've just blown my yarn diet for 2011. I've ordered some madelinetosh tosh dk in nightbloom to make the Downton Cowl. I probably should choose a project that could take a month, but this is my first KAL so I'm a bit shy about long-term commitments. ;)

  5. I really want to do several things for it, but I have Knitbot and Whisp Cardi has been on my list for a long time, so that's what I picked. I'm using madeline tosh, which I've never knitted with, so this will be interesting.

  6. I'm undecided too! I love the cloche style but could I wear it? Can't decide if I could pull it off. I may just stick to my queue and knit Shannon's downton cowl - can't believe I haven't knit one yet!!
You need to travel up island for wool - my MIL got me some Tosh in Qualicum!
