yellow beginnings....

funny thing.. i was actually half way through my cup of coffee before i realised it's march!!! march people! hahah.

and you can bet i'll be adding tulips to my dining table the next chance i get!

another fantastic thing i realised is that umm it's friday! and my hubby is coming home from sea today.
and the fact that it's the weekend.. yeah, that too..

so in honor of  a new month, of warmer weather to come (regardless of what it's trying to tell me outside right now), and just plain because i haven't been able to show you anything knit wise... here's what i'm going to be winding up this weekend!! can you guess what i'll be working on ? (this one i can tell you about.. lol because it's for me)... a yellow theme going on? maybe. lol!

now let's see if this will give me extra incentive to get a certain secret project finished, so that it will free up the needles for this beauty!

happy first day of march! what will you be working on this weekend? :) xo

  1. Yay for pretty yellows and for hubbies returning from sea!
You've just inspired me to wear my yellow cowl today ^.^

I'll be trying to power knit the rest of my sweater pieces today (the sleeves are all I have left to do... i think?!?!) :D

I feel the need to take advantage of the break in the rain and take my little boy for a walk sometime today. He gets a bit squirrelly when he stuck indoors :D

Have an awesome day and we'll see you at class.

  4. I'm guessing a Strathcona!!!!

I've got multiple things on the needles right now to finish first, but a Strathcona is on my 2013 To-Knit list. Maybe that's why I thought of it.

It didn't rain as hard in Vancouver as we were told to expect, but it is pretty wet and miserable here right now! Perfect knitting weather. The birds are chirping outside today, though, and I am inspired to pick up some tulips after seeing that photo you posted!

    Happy Weekend!

    1. Oh, as soon as I hit "post", the birds stopped chirping and the rain started to pour down. :(
Oh well, it was a nice sound while it lasted. And since it's the day that my kids get carpooled home and I have nowhere to be, I'll just have a little tea (or maybe wine?) and keep knitting!
