weekend colour

it's friday! (i know you know that, i just like to say it). haha and this weekend as well as next especially i have lofty knitterly plans... i say especially because next weekend is already easter !! and my hubby has a 4 day  weekend... sooo maybe i can sneak away for a bit of knitting time.. we'll see though..

but this weekend we have a season-end soccer tourney for my little... he's very excited.. and we are too!! we've also got plans for a backyard bbq - in someone else's backyard.... don't worry, they invited us.. lol..
i'm also hoping to actually make an appearance at knit night this week! ... depending on how late the soccer tourney goes..

  1. This weekend's projects are: Watching my husband start his first official knitting project. A reversible cable scarf that we found in a book called "Knits Men Want" by Bruce Weinstein. It is such a fun AND funny book. Full of great patterns for men. Not to mention rules about what men want in knitted stuff.

Also...I VOW to finish my Rae Scarf #4... maybe even today. I've got the house to myself and after doing a little Dance Central I will probably sit and get it done... Well that's my "plan" anyway... :D

Then it's on to my next project... a crazy simple wispy cowl that I'm making up without a pattern I started it ages ago and thought it would be neat for spring. so i guess i'd better get it finished before spring disappears. :P Lol!

Hope you have a wonderful week/weekend. *Sending cheers* for your little man in his tournament and for some awesome knit time. Your knit nights sound like so much fun!

    *Happy hugs* to you guys

    2. Lol! You Bet! :) My hubby is a math guy so he likes to figure that stuff out. He's actually helped to pinpoint AND correct errors in some of the patterns I'm looking through. But I'm gushing... *blush*
      But enough about him... :D

Thank you for all your help & support through the classes... and for just plain inspiring me.

      *pouring tea... NOW!*

  2. Working on Dreiecke and wound my Rastita...not sure what I'm going to make with it but the colors and feel of the yarn are inspiring.
I'm also ogling Billow yarn on the Knitpicks website and hemming and hawing about spending money on their blocking boards. I've been knitting so many shawls lately and the ironing board/beach towel combo just isn't cutting it.
What are you using to knit the Welted Cowl?
    Happy Friday indeed!

  5. As you know, I'll be doing some packing this weekend before heading off to MONTREAL!! Thanks for your comment on my blog ~ I'll be sure to scope out as many LYSs as I can and I hear it's still quite chilly up north so sock knitting in the car it will be. Maybe I'll even finish a pair in time to wear them as I walk around the city. Happy knitterly weekend! xo
