smell it.

i love the smell of fall. oh. so. much.

today starts the beginning of my favourite month! i absolutely looove october! for many reasons. it's my anniversary month, my birthday month, thanksgiving (for us canadians) and even though i knit pretty much constantly.... it's the month i get super excited about knitting! super duper excited. ha.

we've got a really busy month ahead. my little has decided he wants a hallowe'en party... so there's the planning for that. knit city is in less than two weeks! (yikes!) and thanksgiving is this coming weekend!

i've already got banana bread baking in the oven (it went in at 7:30!) so it's smelling good here! my needles have been clicking steadily away, and the coffee is hot.

don't forget to check goodnight baby mouse's blog later today to see if you were one of the winners to her amazing giveaway!

come chat fall. what are you excited to have on your needles? what do you love most about this time of year? xo

  1. It's my favorite too! I have become addicted to knitting lately. I have a hard time picking up my crochet WIPs that need to be finished... Want.. to knit... more... stuff! :) I just bought a second-hand KitchenAid mixer ($100!!!) and I can't wait to make banana bread with it. I've already done banana and pumpkin bread last week. Yay fall!

  3. Oh, fall…I love it so much… (And I'm sad we won't have a woodstove in our new house this year. That photo looks so cozy…I can't wait to have one again next year…)

I am getting some canning done this week—chicken broth today & applesauce later on. I love that it is now cold enough to cook without sweating to death in my kitchen! xo

    1. i miss the woodsotve too! such terribly fond memories of growing up with a woodstove in both the basement, and in the kitchen. i loved it. even if it meant hours of stacking wood. haha. your house must smell amazing! just the perfect time of year for canning.. no? lucky you for getting a woodstove next year! xo
