when I saw her blog post about this project yesterday, it put the biggest smile on my face. wahoo!! serious happy dance!
and the recent response to these boot cuffs have gotten me inspired to publish more patterns. i'm typing up something as we speak (haha I didn't mean this post, but I suppose I am doing that too.)
these make excellent Christmas gifts. they are practical and beautiful! and relatively quick to knit up.
find the pattern here:
thank you michelle for your fantastic photography and knitting skills. :)
have you started compiling a list of quick knits for holiday gift giving? which patterns have made the cut? wishing my American friends a lovely thanksgiving! xo
That is always exciting@ Looking forward to seeing some patterns. :) I've decided I'm going to make lots of crochet ornaments this year.... quick little satisfying projects! :)
ReplyDeletelittle ornaments are great!!! xo
DeleteI went ahead and bought your boot cuff pattern after I saw mamatronics post! I see many pairs as gifts this year. How long do you estimate to knit a pair up?
ReplyDeleteHi terri! yippee to be knitting up the boot cuffs! i'd set aside maybe 5 hrs total for both cuffs... it can be done in less, but it all depends on how long you sit and knit for. hahah. :) what colour are you going to start with? xo

DeleteI'm so glad my post brightened your day! I am on my fourth pair at the moment. It's taking about two hours per pair. I have gotten to where I knit very loosely with smaller needles and I think it helps me move faster. The ones I'm working on now have a reduced stitch count to fit a preteen. I'm pretty impatient to make a pair of my own!
ReplyDeletethat's so fantastic! yes knitting 2 at a time definitely helps to shorten the timeframe! love it! xoxox
