also yesterday was the premier for season 3 of downton! eeeeks! i hadn't realized it until about half an hour before it aired. i was so excited!! and i just want to snuggle down and knit. the kal was even bumped up to yesterday so that people could cast on while watching the first episode! sadly, i still haven't fully decided on a pattern.. but i will! i have a gorgeous skein of madtosh dk in the tern colourway that screams downton.... well in a most polite and british way. ;)
first though, i have some custom orders to work on, and how's this for ambition? i'm planning on knitting up the twiggy cardigan before heading to alberta! (which could be any time really)... i think it's doable. haha who needs sleep? oh yah, i do... but i still think i can do it. i've got the yarn, and i've just recently freed up the needles i need . i can't wait to show you the most recent f.o. but it's a pressie, so i'll have to wait to post pics about it.
my hubby still has another week of holidays, so routine will be slow in getting there, but it also means i might have a bit more knitting time! eeks :) and today is a perfect day for it. it's absolutely pouring out.... my kiddo has lots of new toys to play with , what with christmas and his birthday.... and my hubby is beyond excited that hockey is back on!
how about you? what's on your needles right now? are you participating in the downton kal? have you cast on yet? or are you like me, and still in the deciding stage... ;) i'd love to chat! it's a perfect knitting day today... xo
I cannot wait for things to get back to routine. Especially for my 4 year old boy. He thrives on routine and these passed few weeks have been crazy... But Christmas is like that :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh the twiggy cardigan looks awesome. One day I will try a sweater... *sigh* one day... :D But I finished my FIRST Jane Richmond Rae Scarf... and right now I'm planning to start on my 2nd or try the Mustard Scarf... I can't decide...
Have a wonderful gloomy-rainy-absolutely perfect knitting day :)
ooOOO! congrats on completing rae! i absolutely love that pattern. well i love all of jane's patterns. hahaha. i've made 3 rae's and i know i'll make more. hah. and yah, routine is absolutely essential for our littles... we'll get there though.. hopefully before the summer hits. what yarn did you use for the rae? xo

DeleteThank you!
Delete*sigh* Yes! An established routine before the summer would be fantastic for the family... and my sanity! :D But then again that's what I have knitting for now, right? ;)
For the Rae I used Martha Stewart's Merino wool in pewter! it's a bit of a chunkier scarf than what was suggested but I wanted to try it (and see if I could do it) before running out to buy my FIRST skein of Sweet Georgia...
which i will do... very soon :)
weeee!! and you should buy that skein of sweet georgia... because you deserve it! xo
DeleteAwww... thanks so much! *hugs*
Deletehas the rain stopped? has the rain stopped? has the rain stopped? :D
Hi Rebecca! I'm jealous ~ lol ~ I wish we still had one more week of holidays! It's back to routine for us...I already got my oldest off to school, and Anthony is headed to martial arts this morning, and then preschool this afternoon...and I'm not ready for it! I need another pj day ;) Great to see you yesterday! We had fun!
ReplyDeleteLisa (Anthony's Mom)
that's a busy start for sure! we were so happy to see you yesterday as well!! i wish i could say i'm cuddling up and knitting selfish things today, but i have to finish some work knitting and mending.. (i'm not complaining though ) ;) have a fab day lisa! xo
