my boy is a happy little man. he's waited so long for a knit for him, and being allowed to choose the yarn made it that much more exciting for him.
he even wound the skein himself (well with just a bit of help in setting up the swift.. but then he just went with it) and lo and behold i was so proud to hear him use the knitting jargon... saying "mommy when i'm done winding this round and round, it will be a beautiful cake" (!!!) what!? how cute is that!
and he's right. it was.
but the monster that came of this soft, squishy yarh? oh dear. so cute. and so so soft! clearly malabrigo is an amazing choice for this project.
it just makes the toy that much more huggable, and squeezable. i have a happy boy, and a happy monster.
though i have no idea where he get's his names from. i asked him while he was squeezing the stuffing out of the monster for the frst time what he wanted to name it... "bootee" he replied. huh? ok. well bootee it is. (that specific spelling and all). goodness i love this child. ha.
so meet bootee... he's happy to meet you too. and between you and me... he seems very sure of himself.. hummmmnnn
are you interested in whipping one of these cuties up? here are the deets:
